What People Have Said

SP

Siriporn P.

Retired HR Director · Bangkok

"I had been putting off attending anything like this for years because I expected to feel embarrassed about gaps in my knowledge. The orientation session was nothing like that. The facilitator moved at exactly the right pace and I left with the reference guide, which I have actually gone back to several times since."

Krit W.

Small Business Owner · Bangkok

"The tax course was worth attending for the session on deductions alone. I had been filing annually for fifteen years and still was not confident I was doing it correctly. After session two I finally felt like I understood the system well enough to ask my accountant the right questions. The checklist template is something I will use every year."

Nattaya V.

Senior Manager · Bangkok

"I attended with my husband. We had both been aware that we should probably have a will, but neither of us had ever initiated the conversation. The Legacy programme gave us the language to actually talk about it — and enough understanding of the Thai framework to know what kind of lawyer to contact. The facilitator was thoughtful and unhurried."

Apichat T.

Civil Servant, Retired · Bangkok

"I retired two years ago and found myself suddenly responsible for financial decisions that my employer had previously handled for me. The orientation session helped me understand the landscape. I enrolled in the tax course two months later. Both were useful in very different ways."

Pranee L.

Freelance Consultant · Bangkok

"As a freelancer I had always dreaded the tax question — multiple income sources, mixed personal and business expenses, no clear structure. The course helped me understand which categories my income falls into and how to keep better records. Not everything translated perfectly to my situation, but I left with a clearer framework."

Wichai C.

Doctor · Bangkok

"I have a good professional income but have never understood inheritance law. A colleague mentioned Vestara after attending the legacy programme. I went in expecting a dense legal lecture and found something quite different — calm, clear, and structured. The workbook gave me a useful framework for a conversation I later had with a solicitor."

Participant Journeys

Case Study · Tax Awareness Course

The Situation

A 52-year-old engineer who had been working in the same salaried role for over two decades. She filed her own tax return each year but was unsure whether she was correctly applying deductions related to her provident fund contributions and health insurance payments.

What the Course Provided

The Tax Awareness course clarified the exact categories under which provident fund deductions and health insurance premiums are treated, and introduced her to the concept of personal income tax allowances for those above 65 she did not yet qualify for but wanted to understand for planning purposes.

The Outcome

She left with the personal checklist template completed based on her own situation, and a clear agenda for her next meeting with her accountant — specifically around two deductions she had previously overlooked.

Case Study · Legacy & Estate Education Program

The Situation

A couple in their late 50s who had accumulated property, savings accounts, and insurance policies across many years of marriage but had no will and had not spoken openly about what would happen in the event that one of them passed unexpectedly.

What the Course Provided

The programme introduced them to how Thai succession law operates without a will — including the statutory heir categories and how bank accounts, property, and insurance proceeds are treated differently. The facilitated conversation element gave them a structured way to discuss their own intentions.

The Outcome

Both completed the planning workbook and subsequently engaged an estate attorney to formalise their wishes. They reported that the programme had removed much of the awkwardness around the conversation at home before they had even arrived at a lawyer's office.

Case Study · Financial Literacy Orientation

The Situation

A 44-year-old who had recently taken on full financial management responsibility following a divorce. She had little direct experience with banking products, insurance, or financial statements and felt overwhelmed by the volume of decisions in front of her.

What the Course Provided

The orientation gave her a structured overview of the types of accounts available, how to compare insurance policy terms, and how to read the statements she was now receiving. The small group format meant she was able to ask questions she described as feeling too embarrassed to raise elsewhere.

The Outcome

She described leaving with a "map" of the financial landscape for the first time, and used the reference guide repeatedly in the weeks after the session. She subsequently attended the Tax Awareness course as well.
